Join us for a lively spring festival celebrating North Carolina’s vibrant craft cider scene. Bloomtime CiderFest will feature NC cider tastings, live music, tours of the orchard, and food trucks. Tickets are $40 with a limited number of special VIP tickets available for $60 with perks including early entry to the festival at noon and access to the VIP lounge with special reserved ciders and complimentary charcuterie in the James Creek Cider House tasting room. Proceeds benefit the North Carolina Cider Association, a (501(c) 6 organization which supports consumer education, improved production, and strengthened marketing for cidermakers across the state.
You’ll be able to meet the makers and sample ciders and meads from more than 15 producers including Barn Door Ciderworks, Botanist and Barrel, Bull City Ciderworks, Honeygirl Meadery, James Creek Cider House, Noble Cider, Red Clay Ciderworks, Starrlight Meadery, and Urban Orchard Cider Company.
The live music lineup includes:
- Whiskey Pines (12:30-2 pm): The Sandhills most popular duo known for acoustic rock with a touch of folk and classic rock. Jazzy slap strumming and catchy harmonic riffs have terrific upbeat energy. More Info
- Chip Perry (2:30-4 pm) : A seasoned singer-songwriter from Winston-Salem who blends heartfelt storytelling with a sound rooted in Americana, country, and Southern influences. More Info

Ashten’s restaurant in Southern Pines will host a locally-sourced, multi-course dinner featuring curated pairings of North Carolina ciders on Friday evening, March 13. Among the ciders served will be the private label ciders James Creek makes just for Ashten’s. Falderal is an all-apple blend featuring apples from heirloom trees at proprietor Ashley Van Camp’s home in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains. Wild Pony, a blueberry cider, will debut at the dinner and is named in tribute to the untamed herd and blueberry bushes that course through the beautiful Grayson Highlands. Seating is limited, and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 910-246-3510.
